The House of Representatives continues to pass legislation repealing sections of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Last week, the House passed H.R. 1213 (238-183), which would repeal the funding to help states set up health insurance exchanges. These private sector insurance markets are intended to help small businesses and individuals purchase health insurance, and the law requires that they begin operating in 2014. The House passed a second bill, H.R. 1214, repealing funding to build or renovate school based health clinics. Neither H.R. 1213 nor H.R. 1214 is expected to pass in the Senate.
