House Holds 3rd Hearing on Securing the Future of SSDI

The House Committee on Ways and Means, Subcommittee on Social Security held the third in a hearing series on “Securing the Future of the Social Security Disability Insurance Program.” The hearing focused on how Social Security Disability Insurance eligibility decisions are made, including the definition of disability and the Federal-State relationship. At the hearing, Subcommittee Chairman Sam Johnson (R-TX) announced that the next hearing in the series will focus on the appeals process.
