Bill Introduced to Move Up Date for States to Opt Out of ACA Requirements

On November 18th, Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Scott Brown (R-MA) introduced legislation to move up the date (from 2017 to 2014) when states would be allowed to opt out of certain requirement in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In order to opt out states would have to convince the Secretary of HHS that it is offering an alternative that is at least as effective and affordable as what the law requires.
